It was early morning, and she was exhausted as she neared the island. Rosie Sail, a world champion in sailing was sailing in a race around the world from New York to Tokyo. Enough about the race let’s get on with Rosie and the island. ~
Rosie was at the island now she was hungry and thirsty. Rosie yelled at the top of her lungs of course it was not going to work it was worth a try she was eager. As night fell Rosie was cold, so cold she thought she might die of hyperthermia .Well another problem came, nothing was on the island except for dead rotten trees and bones of dead animals. Rosie felt a shiver go up her spine. Rosie walked around a bit on the island to see an abandoned little shack inside there were matches , fire wood ,paper, blankets, food , water ,small kitchen and basically everything you need in a house including a fire place and power . Well that solved the problems didn’t it? “Extraordinary “shouted Rosie.
“Who said that” came a voice Rosie recognised.
“Who are you? Where am I “? Where are you? What about the race?’’ Said Rosie alarmed about the race.
“I am Paul Higgins the race co-ordinate I am coming to you from beside your boat. The race is fine in fact you are actually coming first. Tokyo is 3 hours away.’’ ~
So after what felt like forever Tokyo came up “what a wonderful peaceful ride into Tokyo’ ’ calmly as possible Rosie said. Rosie was tired but amazingly Rosie came first. Well not quite they got there at the same time. Rosie opponent Lucy brown had given the winning position to Rosie because if Rosie didn’t get lost for sure she would have won. “Everyone calm down please. Rosie Sail, please come here I would like to introduce a very special lady. Rosie Sail you have made New Zealand proud.’’
Rosie surprisingly talked a speech” Thank you , thank you I would like to thank my family and friend but most important Lucy Brown for letting me win even though it was a draw.’’ ~
Rosie left Tokyo three weeks later to travel half way around the world back to her home country New Zealand with extra luggage this time with an enormous trophy. Photos and most important thing anyone can have are friends and family.
